‘Arcadia' is my latest design added to my collection and it captures a *new* take on a very old theme.
Sometime ago I visited the wallpaper archive at the V&A Museum in South Kensington, London. I spent the day looking through wallpaper fragments dating back to pre-nineteenth century. Several designs caught my eye and I made detailed studies there and then. I have since been looking at these sketches, over the past couple of years and waiting for ideas to form themselves, and this is the first new design inspired by those fragments. I have built on the theme, taking the one or two images that were depicted, and have created a rural scene with birds, horses and figures placed into the landscape. The naive style of the design has been maintained, as has the essence of the bucolic pastoral scene it depicts.
All of my wallpapers are printed to order for my clients in a colour of their preference. I design for those who look to enrich their homes with hand crafted and charismatic artefacts, including wallcoverings. My wallpapers are striking and dynamic, they will add distinction to any interior.
