QEST Magazine

On a quest for Craft….

I’m delighted (actually brought a few tears – whilst simultaneously jumping around the kitchen!) to have been featured for the Spring issue of QEST magazine.

It’s wonderful to have been personally selected by Trustee Steve Macleod, the Director of Metro Imaging in Clerkenwell London, for a special mention.

In answer to the question “Which Scholar has captured your imagination?” Steve says “I’m fascinated by the craft of Anneliese Appleby… Her botanical drawings are often made in the open air and she has both an appreciation of faithful print reproduction and an enjoyment of serendipity.  Her Oak & Acorn pattern is beautiful”.

QEST: The Queen Elizabeth Scholarship Trust is an art and craft educational trust created to sustain traditional British craftsmanship. It is a British institution committed to helping support craftspeople of all ages and from all backgrounds, at a critical stage in their careers. The trust was established in 1990 to celebrate the 150th anniversary of the Royal Warrant Holders Association  and the 90th birthday of  Queen Elizabeth the Queen Mother. In 2016, QEST welcomed her Majesty The Queen  Elizabeth II as Patron in her 90th birthday year.
